We understand that sometimes you may need to change or cancel your appointment, however please give as much notice as possible to avoid any of the following charges. We are a very busy salon and therefore require customers to arrive on time for their appointment.

Your Dog
At the time of appointment please ensure dogs are fit and healthy and all vaccinations are up to date. Grooming of sick or elderly dogs is entirely at the owner’s risk. Grooming may expose underlying skin or health problems that we cannot be held liable for, a Vet should be contacted for advice.
If a dog becomes seriously ill whilst in our care we may call a Vet and unless it can be clearly shown that Not Fur Long Dog Grooming are liable, all Vet costs shall be at the owners expense.
We cannot accept dogs with Kennel Cough or other contagious infections/diseases for a minimum or 2 weeks after they've had treatment from a vet.
All dogs MUST be adequately toileted prior to their grooming appointment.
Matted Dogs
For dogs presented to us with extremely matted coats that we feel de-matting by brushing would cause too much stress and discomfort, we will recommend a complete shave off in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act. This will dramatically change a dog’s appearance, as their hair will be extremely short and close to the skin. In the event of this, the owner will be notified in advance and should be aware that exposure of skin problems or irritation from the shaving process may occur and Not Fur Long Grooming shall not be held liable for any after grooming effects or problems uncovered on a neglected coat. The owner will be required to pay any additional costs for this process.
Flea Free Business
Not Fur Long is flea free business and we would like to keep it this way. Please note we do not accept dpgs with fleas or other parasites into our salon and recommend your dog goes to the vet to be treated. If your dog is found to have parasites whilst in our salon the grooming process will stop and you will be asked to return to collect them immediately. The full charge will be applied along with a minimum additional £10 for fumigation cost and time.
Aggressive Dogs
We may refuse to groom a dog that presents a risk of injury to us, other dogs or themselves whilst within the premises. We reserve the right to refuse to groom a dog that displays such signs. Please make the groomer fully aware of these issues prior to booking an appointment, as should your dog be turned away from their appointment a full charge will still apply.
